"To Be a Follower of Christ"
Elder Alfred Kyungu
Of the Seventy
Paul was an active man in the persecution of the Church and the Christians. But because of the power of heaven and the Atonement of Jesus Christ, he was changed completely, and he became one of the great servants of God. His model of life was the Savior Jesus Christ.

"Hold Up Your Light"
Elder Marcus B. Nash
Of the Seventy
While on a flight to Peru a few years ago, I was seated next to a self-proclaimed atheist. He asked my why I believe in God. In the delightful conversation that ensued, I told him that I believed in God  because Joseph Smith saw Him - and then I added that my knowledge of God also came from personal, real spiritual experience. I shared my belief that "all things denote there is a God" and asked him how he believed the earth - this oasis of life in the vacuum of space - came into existence. He replied that, in his words, "the accident" could have happened over eons of time. When I explained how highly improbable it would be for an "accident" to produce such beauty and order, he was quiet for a time and then good-naturedly said, "You got me." I asked if he would read the Book of Mormon. He said he would, so I sent him a copy.

The Family Proclamation
#8
We warn that individuals who violate covenants of chastity, who abuse spouse or offspring, or who fail to fulfill family responsibilities will one day stand accountable before God. Further, we warn that the disintegration of the family will bring upon individuals, communities, and nations the calamities foretold by ancient and modern prophets.

Listened to an infomercial early this morning and ordered something I hope will help with my hair.

As part of our scripture study this morning we read chapter 41 of Saints. After we were finished I watched the latest episode of this year's "The Great British Baking Show." A new episode comes out every Friday. Today is the semifinal. There are four bakers left and only three will go on to next week. Our of the four bakers, Giuseppe, Jurgen, Chigs, and Crystelle, I like Crystelle the best but she is probably considered the underdog. Today's results were totally unexpected. Jurgen, who has been star baker several times and is most always at the top, was sent home and Crystelle got Star Baker. That is completely the opposite of what I thought it would be, but I am happy. Crystelle, Chigs, and Giuseppe are in the final next week.

James had two people call him today about doing jobs at the Casa Grande airport. He was pretty happy! The bad news is he called Mark about getting paid for the DaCroix but Mark never called him back. Mark is not happy with Salvador or Armando but James went down yesterday and did most of their work. Hopefully he doesn't keep ignoring James's calls and texts.

We made a trip into town this afternoon. James stopped at the bank and then we went shopping at Walmart. On the way home we stopped at Taco Bell. We listened to "Charming Artemis" on the way to town and on the way home.

James laid down when we got home and I walked and watched "A Picture Perfect Holiday." Later we watched "Nantucket Noel."
