"He Is Risen with Healing in His Wings:"
Elder Patrick Kearon
Of the Presidency of the Seventy
You will remember when President Russell M. Nelson issued the following invitation in general conference. He said: "As you study your scriptures. . . , I encourage you to make a list of all that the Lord has promised He will do for covenant Israel. I think you will be astounded!"
Here are just a few of the powerful and comforting promises our family found. Imagine the Lord speaking these words to you - to you who are surviving - because they are for you:
Fear not.
I know your sorrows, and I have come to deliver you.
I will not leave you.
My name is upon you, and my angels have charge over you.
I will do wonders among you.
Walk with me; learn of me; I will give you rest.
I am in your midst.
You are mine.
James is struggling with his health and well-being and so am I. We are trusting in the Lord, comforting each other, and hanging on.
The IRS wants proof we had Covid so they can give us some kind of a tax break. We have no proof. I went back in my blog to August 2021 and found that James tested positive on August 4th. I got sick shortly after he did but I didn't get tested because I knew I had it because of James. On August 18th, we both went in again to be tested to see if it was safe to go to the valley to see Jared, Kacey, and Charlie who were visiting from Texas. We tested positive and we were devastated until Kim talked to us. This is what the CDC says:
If you tested positive and you quarantined for like 10 days then you are fine to not quarantine anymore. You can go back to work if 10 days have passed since symptoms first appeared and you have been 24 hours without a fever and symptoms have improved. Yay! We are okay to go down. Jared was just called to the high council and needs to be ordained a high priest and he wants his dad to do it.
We left for town around 3:30. James wanted to pick up our covid records at the hospital but they closed at four and we didn't make it.
He dropped me off at Walmart and he went over to Circle K to get gas and wash the car. Walmart was such a disappointment. They were out of so many things. James got a watermelon, a cantaloupe, and a pineapple. On the way home we got Taco Bell for dinner. They no longer have their Mexican pizza. They quit offering it because they couldn't keep up with the demand. Glad I at least go one.
My right arm was hurting on the way home. When we got home James had to carry in the groceries and put them away. He got me a heating pad and I sat down on the recliner in my bedroom. I took some pain killers and waited until it felt better before I got up.
It really looked like it was going to rain today. I'm sure it did rain in some areas of the state, just not here on us.
James and I watched another movie tonight. This one is one that I had seen before, "One Summer" starring Sam Page and Sarah Drew. It was good but not as good as "Finding Normal."
