Monday, April 6th, 2026: 4 purposes for the plagues of Egypt; overcast, rainy day, thoughts turn to Darrel, tithing, taxes, 33 Jesus's, James's landing job, Texas Easter

Seoul, Korea
Temple #37

The plagues of Egypt had four purposes:
1.) Increase the faith of the Israelites in Jehovah and convince them to accept Moses as their prophet leader.
2.) They helped to convince the Egyptians to let Israel go.
3.) They showed the supremacy of the God of Israel over the gods of Egypt because the plagues sent upon the Egyptians either represented or affected gods the Egyptians worshipped. A very similar contest of deities occurred between the God of Israel and the gods of the Canaanites in the days of Elijah.
4.) The plagues served to give an example of the kinds of plagues that will devastate the earth prior to the Second Coming of Jesus Christ. This last one gives one pause to think.

Today was a rainy, overcast day. My thoughts turn to Darrel. Praying he will like his new job and they will be able to sell their house.

I did two blog posts today, walked 13,000 steps, paid our tithing, and worked on taxes.

Out of Addy's 99 small Jesus's we have found 33.

"As we dedicate time daily to come closer to Christ, our hearts are changed."
- Elder Ronald M. Barcellos

Exodus 7:5
And the Egyptians shall know that I am the LORD, when I stretch forth mine hand upon Egypt, and bring out the children of Israel from among them.
