James came in from feeding Luna and Tom rather discouraged. He left the gate open last night and Luna got in and made holes in the yard. James used the Cat to fill in the holes.

I read a chapter from "Opening the Seven Seals" and found out something I didn't know:
The sealed portion of the Book of Mormon "contains the same revelation which was given to John upon the isle of Patmos," albeit Jared's brother apparently wrote with a great deal more detail.
Footnote 5 of chapter 2: Messenger and Advocate, February 1835, 80. The sealed portion has been described as consisting of about two-thirds the volume of the golden plates. If that is the case, then the vision of Jared's brother would occupy a substantial portion of over one thousand pages of translated text. This dwarfs John's mere twenty-five pages. However, John devoted only a few lines to six thousand years of earth's history in order to concentrate on the period just before the Second Coming.

The temperature was in the 50's but is was windy today. We made a trip to town in the truck. James had to pick up a piece of lumber. I was going to get ingredients for Christmas cookies, a veggie soup, more cozy socks, birthday cards, and candy and various other things.
James wanted to get some lightbulbs but they didn't have the kind he needed at Home Depot. He looked at Walmart and they didn't have them either. I told him we could order them from Amazon.

James saw Virgil Cooper and was talking to him about his doctor's appointment. Virgil has congestive heart failure. When Virgil saw me he smiled and thanked me for the tacos and said they were delicious. This made me feel good.

On the way out of the parking lot we stopped at Wendy's for lunch. We ordered a Biggie Bag which includes a cheeseburger, chicken nuggets, fries and a drink. I had the cheeseburger and half the fries and James had the nuggets with honey mustard sauce and the diet Coke.

We listened to "Ashes on the Moor" on the way home. After putting everything away we both took a nap. James got up before I did and went outside to work. After my nap I watched a movie, "Yes Chef, It's Christmas." After the movie I got up to go to work, walking, blogging, and bringing up more Christmas stuff.

I talked to Kathy Crane about when she wanted to go ministering and she said next week would be better. She said she was mailing packages to Virginia and that the water pump for the house went out. They are waiting for the repairman. When I told James he said that was a big deal and they would probably have to pull their well. He said we should offer to let them take showers over here.

This evening James and I spent a relaxing evening together walking, listening to our book, and watching a Christmas movie. This while having a fire and the Christmas tree lights on. We watched, "Meet Me Under the Mistletoe."
