But he, being full of the Holy Ghost, looked up steadfastly, into heaven and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing on the right hand of God.
Affirmation
I firmly believe that I am never left to face my challenges alone. Through the power of the Holy Ghost, I receive constant companionship, guidance and comfort from my Heavenly Father and my Savior, Jesus Christ. With the Holy Ghost as my constant guide, I find solace in the knowledge that I am encompassed by divine love and never alone in my mortal journey.

"The Can Be Nothing So Exquisite And Sweet As Was My Joy"
Elder Craig C. Christensen
Of the Seventy
A powerful but humble king in the Book of Mormon said this:
"What shall I do," he asked," that I may be born of God, having this wicked spirit rooted out of my breast, and receive his Spirit, that I may be filled with joy ... ? Behold, said he, I will give up all that I possess, yea, I will forsake my kingdom, that I may receive this great joy."
Trusting The Doctrine Of Christ
Elder Evan A. Schmutz
If we trust the doctrine of Christ, we will set aside the shiny things of the world so that we can focus on the Redeemer of the world. We will limit or eliminate time spend on social media; digital games; wasteful, excessive, or inappropriate entertainment; the allure of this world's treasures and vanities; and any other activities that give place to the false traditions and misguided philosophies of men. It is only in Christ we find truth and lasting fulfillment.
This first thing I saw when I got up this morning was a text from my CitiCard saying someone had used my card on Walmart.com for $449.48. Was this me. Now it was not, so I had to cancel another credit card and file a fraud dispute. What is this world coming to?
Willie was here at 6 a.m. this morning to look at the stable to figure out how to make the poles James needs. He also told James how to fix the water pump which James has been struggling with for awhile.
James was so happy!
Another thing that made us happy was all of the rain we got today. It was amazing. It rained on us on the way to town, it rained while we were in town, and it rained on the way home. We are so grateful because we need the rain so much. I am hoping that the places where there have been fires have received some rain too.
I shopped at Walmart, mainly focusing on getting the ingredients for Barbara's birthday cake tomorrow. She wants a carrot cake so I bought carrots, pecans, cream cheese, unsalted butter, and powdered sugar. Of course I bought some other things while I was here so I don't have to come back for awhile. We didn't get our car serviced so James is going to bring it back on Friday and I will probably come with him to pick up my Tramadol prescription.
As we were leaving Walmart I asked James if he wanted to share a grill Santa Fe chicken sandwich from Carl's Jr. He said yes and he ran ahead to order it. We waited, and waited, and waited for our order to be filled. Some guy who ordered before we did was waiting too and he did not have a smile on his face. I took the groceries outside and put them away and kept thinking James would come out any minute, but he didn't. I went back inside and we waited some more. One of the workers apologized and said they had an earlier rush and were behind. Funny, because there was no one there when we ordered. Anyway, I guess it was worth the wait because the sandwich was delicious.
Time with James is so precious to me. Today he brought me breakfast, made the bed, had scriptures and prayer with me, drove me to town so I wouldn't have to drive in the rain. We took my car and he did get some gas and diesel but it was worth it because I so enjoyed his company. We spent time on the front porch looking at the sunset and enjoying the weather. I watched "A Christmas Cookie Catastrophe" and this evening James and I watched Taylor Cole in an episode of "Ruby Herring." It was a great day. Oh yes, we walked and listened to our book "A Gentleman's Deception" and we also listened to it in the car.
I know you can't see it, but it's there.
Rain!
Something Tom Baker posted that I can
agree with.
It is amazing!
on the 16th day it may be gone.
