"Because they are such a natural part of the Church of Jesus Christ, we sometimes forget the importance of relationships in our ongoing journey to Christ. We are not expected to find or walk the covenant path alone. We need love and support from parents, other family members, friends, and leaders who are also walking the path."
Evan loves having his picture taken - Not!

The boys actually got up before noon to swim this morning. I guess because they knew it was their last chance. They went down to the pool around 9:30 and James and I went to Costco here in Scottsdale a little after ten. I promised my friend Cammy that I would pick up some things for her. We both had to wear masks to get inside of Costco. James got one from the woman at the door. I had mine that Sister Halcomb made me.
It's like a treasure hunt shopping at Costco. We bought uncured bacon, uncooked tortillas, sharp cheddar cheese, Pirate Booty, Kettle Corn, dried prunes, and fruit snacks. We found everything Cammy wanted except for liquid hand soap. They were all out.
We bought a new hose, peanut M&M's, salsa and chips. After doing our shopping we got in the car wash line. It was long, but it moved quickly.
The boys were finished swimming when we got back and Sheri arrived to pick them up about five minutes after our return. I realized I didn't get any pictures of the boys. So I took a couple, one of Evan alone, and one of Rowan and Max.
Max is so tall!
He makes everyone else look short.
He makes everyone else look short.
Sheri took the M&M's to give to Ruby for her birthday. Why didn't I send the Captain Crunch and Apple Jacks cereal with her and the lunchmeat and bread? No one will ever know the answer to this question although there might be some educated guesses, such as; forgetful; doesn't think on her feet, etc. You get the picture.
As soon as Sheri left James went in to take a nap and I began doing the dishes and cleaning the kitchen and the boys kitchen. They left a sink full of dirty dishes. It took me awhile because I did not use the dishwasher. I washed and then dried over a dozen glasses.
James packed up his things, which takes about five minutes, and put them in the car. It takes me quite a bit longer to pack up my things, first in the bathroom where the counter is covered with "my things." Then in the bedroom where the drawers are full of "my things" and so is the closet. Last but not least I pack up a suitcase full of my study books and a basket full of my business books, etc. Last but not least, my computer.
I asked James to clean out the frig and the freezer. We ended up leaving two pizzas, ice cream, and Skinny Cows in the freezer. When we left, it was around 3 p.m. Oh I forgot to mention that while I was cleaning we got a call from the front desk. They said we could swim from 5-9 this evening which we were not scheduled to do. I called and told Sheri but she did not want to come back out.
James stopped at the front desk on our way out and did an official "check out." There were no charges on our credit card. James wanted to go the Globe way but I insisted Payson. It is only an hour to Payson from Shea Blvd.
We stopped in Payson at Culver's for some dinner. James had a pot roast sandwich and I had a butter burger. They were both delicious. Now we can start our fast.
It was still light outside when we got home around 6:30. James unloaded the car and then went to find Luna while I put things away. So much to put away!! It is good to be home!
We wanted to watch "Lark Rise to Candleford" before going to bed but I couldn't get Prime Video to work so we watched an episode of "The Good Witch" instead. Not quite the same.
We are fasting for the Fort Apache branch and for Stacy's family and Kim's family.
