"The Message, the Meaning, and the Multitude"
Elder Jeffrey R. Holland
"As our new friends experience a multitude of new sights and sounds, we must point past the hustle and bustle and concentrate them on the meaning of it all, on the beating heart of the eternal gospel - the love of Heavenly Parents, the atoning gift of a divine Son, the comforting guidance of the Holy Ghost, the latter-day restoration of all these truths and so much more."
Sheri, Michael, and Alexis all went on a run this morning. Sheri came home and fixed breakfast: bacon, eggs, and waffles.
After breakfast everyone gets ready to leave for home.
Alexis, Michael, Joshua, and Max were all in Alexis car.
Max wanted his picture taken with his family
Sheri and Ian brought Ian's dad' truck. They got the boys a small motorcycle for Christmas and they brought it up with them.
It was difficult to ride in the snow, but the older boys did it.
As soon as everyone was gone we started cleaning. This is the first time I have seen my counter tops in a week. We bagged up some of the leftover food, mainly bread, and took it to the Wilhelm's. James also took them some ham which made John happy. He said ham is his favorite food and he uses it to make breakfast burritos.
James worked on cleaning the griddle and the stove for about three hours. He used the sander on the griddle and now it's shiny.
I go around the house picking things up and putting them away in sort of a random way. I took all of the Christmas decorations down and waxed under the dining room table. James took the lights off the tree and took the tree apart and put it downstairs and used the ladder to get the wreath down. We did everything, including the wreath and poinsettias on the front porch. I also did some laundry, swept, and did all of the dishes.
James fixed the piano bench and put up some trim under the new TV. We were like little worker bees for several hours.
Finally I needed a break. I went into our bedroom and worked on my "Inklings" notebook and watched a movie, "Family Christmas Gift" starring Holly Robinson Peete and Patty LaBelle.
Between December 25th and January 1st we had 14 people and 4 dogs visit us. It's nice when they come but it's nice to get everything back to normal too.
My left foot really hurts. James brings the walker up from downstairs for me to use.
During our "Come Follow Me" study this evening the electricity went off. We waited awhile and when they didn't come back on, we went to bed. An hour or so later they come back on. We didn't get up though.

One of the legs fell off while the kids were here.
James fixed it.
