Jesus Christ, Only Begotten Son
Moses 1:6
And I have a work for thee, Moses, my son; and thou art in the similitude of mine Only Begotten; and mine Only Begotten is and shall be the Savior, for he is full of grace and truth; but there is no God beside me, and all things are present with me, for I know them all.

We have every reason to rejoice, for our Lord and Savior is keenly aware of our troubles, cares, and sorrows. As Jesus was with His disciples of old, He is in our boat! I testify He has given His life so that you and I will not perish. May we trust Him, obey His commandments, and with faith hear Him say, "Peace, be still."
In the sacred and holy name of Jesus Christ, amen.

He had questions regarding the salvation of his soul and trusted that God would direct him.

The Living Christ
P1 S1
As we commemorate the birth of Jesus Christ two millennia ago, we offer our testimony of the reality of His matchless life and the infinite virtue of His great atoning sacrifice.

While I was indexing I came across this record: Lucy Josslyn, a widow, lives at the Lick Old Ladies Home. I am assuming that the person who owns this home has the last name of Lick, but is "Old Ladies" politically correct?

I listened to the Liahona articles on ministering and then an article about looking back to October 2020 conference. Here are a couple of quotes from the October conference:

"Live each day so that you are more prepared to meet your Maker."
-President Russell M. Nelson

"Here are three examples of blessings that enabled us to endure the challenges that have come:
1. Home-Centered gospel learning.
2. Ministering in a higher and a holier way.
3. Heightened joy in the return of temple ordinances."
-Elder Gary E. Stevenson

In preparation for tomorrow night's "Come Follow Me" gathering at our house, James and I made a trip to Dollar General this afternoon. I asked James if he would make a couple of his famous cobblers. We decided on cherry and peach. We have peaches but no cherries. We also don't have the cake mixes that we need.

Dollar General was busy, as usual, but the store was cleaner than I have ever seen it. I wanted to get a wedding card for Jackson Allen but they did not have any. I did buy him an Amazon gift card. James got two cans of cherry pie filling, two white cake mixes because they did not have any yellow, and 2 Sprites. I also got a package of two turtle brownies as a snack.

I walked 14,000 steps today and indexed 200 names. I finished Monday's blog post. I should have done Tuesday's but I got dizzy and how to sit down on my favorite recliner.

James worked outside on the fence today and was able to get electrical power to most of it. He came in invigorated and happy in a way I haven't seen him for awhile.

I cooked a huge sweet potato for dinner and we shared it. James also had some cottage cheese and pineapple. He loves this kind of dinners!

This evening we watched, "The Last Cowboy" starring Luke Perry as Judge John Goodnight. James loved it. I don't like western shoot outs but I liked Luke Perry in the part of a judge.

We also watched the newest Hallmark Spring Fling movie, "Chasing Waterfalls" starring Cindy Busby and Christopher Russell. So much beautiful scenery and I actually liked Cindy and Christopher together.

I love the look on  her face and that
her toes are pointed!

Stacy, Paul, and Joshua will be in
the Everglades next month.

Jesus Christ, Only Begotten Son
D&C 138:57
I beheld that the faithful elders of this dispensation, when they depart from mortal life, continue their labors in the preaching of the gospel of repentance and redemption, through the sacrifice of the Only begotten Son of God, among those who are in darkness and under the bondage of sin in the great world of the spirits of the dead.

The world's current chaotic situation may seem daunting as we consider the multitude of issues and challenges. But it is my fervent testimony that if we will pray and ask Heavenly Father for needed blessings and guidance, we will come to know how we can bless our families, neighbors, communities, and even the countries in which we live.

Two hundred years ago, on a beautiful spring morning in 1820, young Joseph Smith, seeking to know which church to join, went into the woods to pray near his home in upstate New York, USA.

The Living Christ
P11 S5
God be thanked for the matchless gift of His divine Son.

My appointment this morning at Barnet-Delaney-Perkins was at 8:20 this morning. I am still in pirate mode so James had to drive me.
Before we left, Max and Joshua took off on the Razr and Sheri took off on her run. Evan was upstairs and asked why they left without him. We would like to ask the same question. When I returned from my appointment they were still gone so we are assuming that they went to Green's Peak. I made some cinnamon rolls and told Evan he could have as many as he wanted. When Max and Joshua got back they said that Evan was asleep when they left. He said he was not. I said even if he was asleep they should have woke him up because he was looking forward to go to Green's Peak. Max said they parked the Razr at the bottom of the hill and walked up. I guess they enjoyed themselves. Evan did not seem too upset and he ate three cinnamon rolls.

This morning Sheri and I watched the following movies:
"Fit for a Prince"
"How To Train Your Husband"

Mas did not want to go home and asked if he could stay until Monday. Sheri asked if dad would be coming down on Monday. I said he would not because the priority is to get appointments made for an MRI and with a urologist. Max says he is staying here this summer. Right now he has several issues at school and is not taking care of his diabetes. He told James he was taking care of himself but his blood sugars say otherwise.

We said our goodbyes and I told Sheri to please tell me when she gets home.

Off they go

James is still fighting with Pinal county's website regarding dust permits for his job in Maricopa. Yes, Maricopa is in Pinal county.

I started a new online book, "The Dowry of Lady Eliza.

I love this picture!

'Embrace the Future with Faith'
President Russell M. Nelson
President of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints
My dear sisters, let us not just endure this current season. Let us embrace the future with faith! Turbulent times are opportunities for us to thrive spiritually. They are times when out influence can be much more penetrating than in calmer times.
I promise that as we create places of security, prepare our minds to be faithful to God, and never stop preparing, God will bless us.
He will "deliver us; yea, insomuch that he will speak peace to our souls, and will grant unto us great faith, and . . . cause us that we can hope for our deliverance in him."
As you prepare to embrace the future with faith, these promises will be yours!

Sheri got her around 10:30. We are so glad she is here. James and I left for town around 12:15 for my surgery on my right eye at Barnet-Delaney-Perkins. I was to be there at 12:50 and did not want to be late. Last time they took me right back. This time I did a lot of waiting.  My surgery didn't even start until after 3.

Putting the port in for my anesthesia was the worst part of this entire process. The girl could not find a vein in my arm, (I wish Tiffany from the arthritis center was here), so she put the port in my hand which was painful and even more painful when the doctor put the anesthesia in. The second most painful thing was the automatic blood pressure cuff they put on my right arm. I was squeezing my arm so tightly that I was about ready to scream. I told one of the nurses and she put it on my lower arm which helped a little. The actual surgery itself was a piece of cake and only took 15 minutes or so.

They rolled me to the recovery room, made me get up from the bed and sit in a chair, took my blood pressure, offered me something to drink and I chose apple juice, and I was on my way with James who had been waiting for me.

Of course I have an eye patch over my right eye. Sheri calls me a pirate.

Bless James. He went to LaCasita and got me my favorite meal, a chicken enchilada with red sauce with rice and beans. I did not eat it until I got home and then I couldn't eat all of it.

Sheri had taken the boys to Pizza Factory for dinner.

James got his lab reports. Out of the five broken ribs he got when Luna bucked him off, three are still broken. No wonder he is in so much pain! The report on his prostate was not good.  The average score for a person his age is 6. His score was 11, which means it is very enlarged and the doctor wants to check for cancer so he referred him to a urologist. My brother Harold had prostate cancer and he took treatments and it is now in remission. I told James to call and talk to him.

This evening Sheri and I watched the following movies:
"It Was Always You"
"Mix-up in the Mediterranean"
"Playing Cupid"
Earlier I told Sheri to watch an older movie, "Love Under the Stars" starring Wes Brown and Ashley Williams. I know she likes Wes Brown. At one point we gave the TV in the family room to Max to watch either a basketball game or "The Twilight Zone." We came in our bedroom to finish watching.
