"And we will prove them herewith, to see if they will do all things whatsoever the Lord their God shall command them; And they who keep their first estate shall be added upon; and they who keep not their first estate shall not have glory in the same kingdom with those who keep their first estate; and they who keep their second estate shall have glory added upon their heads for ever and ever.
You and I accepted that invitation to be tested and to prove that we would choose to keep the commandments of God when we would no longer be in the presence of our Heavenly Father.

Merry Christmas!
Our day started with a light breakfast and then watching Darrel and Trina's family open their gifts. James and I will open our gifts at home. He did buy me a Hogwarts train at Costco yesterday. We tried to put it together last night but we had no C batteries so we put it back in the box and will save it for home too.
I knew Darrel's kids were good and I guess Santa knows it too because they each got lots of gifts to unwrap. James and I left around 8:20 for Sheri's. She wants us there early because James is making his famous venison gravy with biscuits. The breakfast is supposed to start at 9:30.
The meat and gravy was going fine but when we went to put the biscuits in the oven, the oven was not warm. We could not get it to work so I called Cathi and asked her if I could come down and cook our biscuits in her oven. She said yes and asked me what degrees she should set the oven.
I went over and had a nice visit with Cathi while the biscuits baked.
I forgot how much I love Cathi and how nice she is, Terry too.
Just as the biscuits were finished the doorbell rang. It was Ruby and Lola with another batch of biscuits to bake. Ruby still had her pajamas on. I took the finished batch down and Cathi put the next batch in the oven.
I told James we needed to make some meat and gravy for Cathi and Terry, which he did. When Cathi brought down the second batch of biscuits I told her I would be down in a minute with some food for her and Terry. When I returned Cathi's pan, they were enjoying the food and talked about how delicious it was.
After James cleaned the kitchen, we gathered our gifts from Sheri and Ian, a Deseret gift card for me and a Cabella's, Bass Pro Shop for James, homemade hot sauce, warm socks, and some of our favorite candy and an any table ping pong set, and we drove back to Darrel's. James dropped me off and I took a nap while he went to meet Chacon at the houses. Chacon was a no-show so James wasn't gone long.
We packed up our car, said our goodbyes', and left for home. Stacy and Paul and Joshua were about 45 minutes behind us. We both went the Payson way. James was anxious to get home in time for Luna's evening feeding. Anthony fed her once yesterday and then once today.
As soon as we got home James fed Luna, I turned on the oven and put our ham in the oven for dinner. I put Sheri's ham and turkey in the garage refrigerator.
When Stacy, Paul and Joshua got here Paul made the mashed potatoes and Stacy made a green bean casserole. We warmed up the rolls and got out the cranberry celebration. Stacy and Paul don't care for the cranberries. It was a nice meal in spite of traveling most of the day. The Costco apple pie was delicious, I wish we would have had some ice cream to go with it. It's the only pie that really needs ice cream.
Stacy started doing her Starry, Starry Night puzzle she got from Dallin and she and Paul watched something in the family room. Joshua was upstairs playing video games and James and I went in our room to watch a movie. So much for family togetherness.
It was a nice day weather wise and it was wonderful to spend most of it with family.
Before going to bed James and I opened our gifts from Darrel, Trina, Kim, Brian, and Lois and Dawn. Here is a list of what I got: A Amazon gift card from Kim and Brian, James got another Cabella's card. A Barnes and Noble card from Dawn, a Target card from Darrel and Trina, I think James got another Cabella's card from them. I also got a Tens electrical machine from Trina. Two blouses and some decorative pillow cases from Lois and a basket filled with kitchen items. James wrote me a letter and gave me a $150 Visa card and a $50 Amazon card along with my train. It was a very Merry Christmas. It was nice that we were with Darrel and Trina last night when they read the story of the first Christmas from Luke 2. As a family we use to do this on Christmas morning but now that everyone has their own families we don't do it together.
Merry Christmas!
