Restoration Proclamation

Others came as well, including Elijah, who restored the authority to join families together forever in eternal relationship that transcend death.

James asked me if I would go into town with him around 8:30 this morning. He has to have some insurance papers notorized at the bank. He dropped me off at Walmart while he went to Home Depot and then the bank. I had two pair of shoes to return at Walmart. The woman who waited on me is a temple worker who works on Saturday afternoons. The process was painless. I am returning the shoes because they were painful.

I was waiting for James in front of Walmart's garden center when he returned. We went to Aliberto's to get tacos before going home. I figured that Joshua might be hungry and I know that he likes tacos.
We ordered 3 beef tacos and 2 carne asada tacos. At first I thought the carne asada tacos were good until I bit into a piece of chicken with a bone. I spit it out and it was also not cooked completely. That was it for me. I did enjoy the beef taco and Joshua seemed to enjoy his two tacos.

I finished going through all of my Keepa alerts for books today. I also worked on my general conference notebook and read to James from English Trifle. We are at a very good part when everything is beginning to come together and Sadie is finding out who the murderer is.

I miss seeing Luna at the front door. She has been so good this week and didn't break out of the field one time.

Stacy arrived this evening around 6:30 with a pizza from Pizza Factory for Joshua. After bringing her stuff in and getting settled she went over to the bookshelf and picked out the new puzzle Dave and Laura got me for my birthday. She cleared off the coffee table so she could work on it while watching TV. She does this at home and did it at our home when we lived with them in Chandler. She told us about a cowboy cook that Paul watches. His name is Kent Rollins and he has videos on YouTube. We watched a few. He reminds me of the Cajun cook we used to watch, Justin Wilson.

Stacy told me about Paul's brother Aaron getting a divorce. He doesn't want the divorce but his wife is insisting. She sounds a lot like someone else I know. It is very sad and Aaron is heartbroken.

Stacy has a lot of health issues. She says she has liver disease, pancreatitis, lupus and thyroid disease. She seemed to be feeling fine this evening. She is here to pick up Joshua and to give me a new set of eye lashes.

'Sustainable Societies'
Elder D. Todd Christofferson
If enough of us and enough of our neighbors strive to guide our lives by the truth of God, the moral virtues needed in every society will abound.

Restoration Proclamation
P4 S3
Three of the original Twelve Apostles - Peter, James and John - restored the apostleship and keys of priesthood authority.

Everything is so dry here right now. It looks like if someone accidentally dropped a match everything would burn. I have been walking out on the deck recently and looking around. I am sad we didn't get our yard done this year. We still just have dirt and weeds, and rocks. Instead of getting a yard we got a horse and a fence. Because we got a horse we also need to build a stall for her so she doesn't get wet and cold this winter. It will be next spring or summer before James can even begin working on the yard. In the meantime we deal with dust and dirt.

Alex, Shayna, Max, Joe, and Joshua are still here but they were pretty quiet until later in the afternoon when they went on a Razr ride. All five of them left and then shortly came back and dropped Joshua off. I guess five was too many. This evening before leaving for home around 8:30, Max, Alex, Shayna, and Joe all played a game of Hearts. I believe Shayna won because she ran it twice. Impressive!

Look at the smile on Shayna's face.
Because it was night time I did not get a picture of these
four on the front porch. This is their goodbye photo.

With Alex driving, these four left for home somewhere between 8:30-9:00. Shayna said she would make sure Alex texted me when they got home safely, which he did.

We had family prayer with Joshua before going to bed. It's just the three of us now.

Restoration Proclamation
P4 S2
The resurrected John the Baptist restored the authority to baptize by immersion for the remission of sins.

The fishers left at 4 a.m. I don't call them fishermen because Shayna was with them. James, Alex, Shayna, and Max. Joe was going to go but he ended up staying here because he said he had a migraine. He does not sleep well at night and was worried about getting up early. The funny thing is he was here all day and I didn't even know it.

I fed Luna this morning and Sheri went on her run. Sheri told me about what happened with Shayna and the bat. She said she thought Shayna probably handled it quite well because she is a calm person. Ben said she was pretty rattled by it. I felt so bad. She is never going to want to come up here again and I can't blame her!

Sheri made a big breakfast and I made a pumpkin sheetcake with cream cheese frosting this morning. After Sheri, Ian, Evan and Ben ate Sheri was ready to leave for home. Ben wanted to play another video game with Joshua so she and I watched part of a Hallmark movie. I could tell Sheri was stressed and wanted to go. She was not too happy with Ben for starting a game. Anyway here are photos of them before they left.

So long, farewell

I love this blast from the past before Evan was born.
Max, Sheri, Ben, and Alex

Our stake is making medical masks for the hospitals in Arizona.
I volunteered to make five masks. So far I have not made any and
they are due by Sunday. Sheri went upstairs and got my sewing machine for me. I watched the instruction video and was able to make 3 in a short amount of time. They are very simple, thank goodness as my sewing skills are minimal. I will make the other two before Sunday.

This afternoon I went into town to get some Mop n Glo floor polish for the wood floor. I told Joshua I would pick up a pizza for him at Pizza Factory. He said he wanted pepperoni. I knew the fishers had to be back by 6 because Shayna has an online class so I picked up two large pepperoni pizzas because I was sure they would be hungry and I was right. They were back when I got home. They all had a great time fishing. They saw two bears and Shayna wasn't even scared. Of course Alex caught the most fish at 76. James caught 40 and then stopped because something was wrong with his pole. Shayna and Max each caught around 20. Max hurt his finger and James helped him doctor it. I didn't think much of it because he really did not complain at all.

James and I were tired this evening and went to bed around 9. Of course the kids stayed up watching TV, playing video games and Hearts. I'm so glad we don't have to worry about the bat.
