Coming prepared with questions is how we can actively participate in conference. We are also demonstrating to the Lord that we are willing to act in faith and believe in His power to heal, comfort, and bless.
A Bicentennial Proclamation To The World
P2S1 Two hundred years ago, on a beautiful spring morning in 1820, young Joseph Smith, seeking to know which church to join, went into the woods to pray near his home in upstate New York, USA.

Happy Birthday Dawn Lambson!
We hope you have a wonderful day!

James is frustrated because he has no cord for the camera. He got some pictures of elk this morning with his phone but it just isn't the same.

I think these last two photos are from last year

James brings my morning tea to my desk just about every morning.
This morning it came with watermelon.

My breakfast spread.

James went to town this morning to get a new tire for his Cat. I stayed home and made a stew. When he got home he was hungry and had some of the stew before it was done. I think he had at least two bowls full, maybe three.

While James did some truck shopping online I read to him from "English Trifle."I relaxed on the recliner and watched part of "DWTS", Disney night. I then did some walking and listened to my new audio book on DeseretBookPlus,"The Gents, Forget Me Not."

I cleaned all of the books that I am sending in to sell that needed to be cleaned. I will box them up and make labels tomorrow.

While James was outside working this afternoon I cleaned the floors in the family, living room, the kitchen, dining, hall, hall bathroom, laundry, and entryway. I vacuumed the rugs and used Mop and Glow on the tile. It looks so nice.

Sheri texted me that she got a new car today. Here is the email she sent me:
"I got a car! It's a VW Atlas. Best car buying experience of my life. Also I did it alone - I didn't have Ian c0-sign. I texted with two different dealerships all day and Earnhardt's knocked $2k off the price so I went with them, It can set up to 7 and has more room that the Highlander, which is what I wanted. Plus it's cheaper. They were wanting to make deals since it was the last day of the month and they needed to meet quotas. I only spent an hour at the dealership."

Congratulations Sheri! Now if James could just find a truck.

I found out tonight  that we got a new stake patriarch. His name is Matthew Charles Greer. Our previous patriarch, Brother Toronto, is a counselor in the new Snowflake temple presidency.

Luna was grounded yesterday afternoon and last night because she of running off. When James went in to feed her this morning she couldn't decide if she wanted to eat or to get out of her corral before he locked her up again. He extended the fence up the hill where she has been getting out so she would stay in our field. She is quite the wanderer.

Happy 25th Anniversary
Kim & Brian

I love this picture. They look so young!

I put this quote by President Nelson on the white board in our bedroom this morning:
"I renew my plea for you to do whatever it takes to increase your spiritual capacity to receive personal revelation."
-Russell M. Nelson

I was tired again today because I woke up at 3 a.m. and couldn't go back to sleep. I took an early nap.

I finished putting my book shipment in inventory and did some repricing because I have not sold any books for the last few days.

For lunch we had Chinese dumplings, four bean salad and some leftover orange chicken. I signed Relief Society birthday cards while watching "Dancing with the Stars." Afterwards I got ready to go to town.

We stopped at the post office on the way out of town and picked up a couple of books. I read to James from "English Trifle" on the way to town and on the way home. James dropped off a tire to the Cat at Center Tire to be fixed. He ran over a sharp rock or stump while working on the fence. He dropped me off at Walmart and then he went to Tractor Supply. As soon as I got out of the car at Walmart I realized that I had left my phone in the car connected to the charger. James came in after I was finished shopping and picked up a watermelon. That's where I found him. He gave me my phone. While I started checking out James went to the back of the store to get another garbage can.

Center Tire could not fix James's tire. He will have to come into town to buy a new one tomorrow.

On the way home we stopped at the Thompson's to give Maxine the Relief Society birthday cards for October to sign.

I made a mad dash to the freezer in the garage to put the fudgsicles I bought inside. Later James found the freezer open and they melted. Hopefully they are still edible.

Trump and Biden debated this evening. It was ridiculous. They kept interrupting each other. Trump was the worst. They also called each other liars. Chris Wallace was the moderator and most people feel he favored Biden. Having a debate with these two was a mistake.

The moon was almost full this evening. I asked if Charlie saw it and Kacey said she did and she said, "It's a tall one." Meaning it's a big one or a full one. I love Charlie Mae!

It was 40 degrees this morning but there were no elk answering James's call. Also, Luna is nowhere to be found. She came home later this morning and wanted to get into the planter to go around to the grass but she saw the string James put up and she stopped. I walked her around to the corral to show her that she had feed but she was not hungry. She was thirsty but there were some dead wasps and pine cones in her water. I got them out and she was ready to drink.

This afternoon James and I went to the library to get a sales contract for the Deming lot we are selling notarized by our friend Tamara who is also the town librarian. Afterwards we went to the post office and mailed Scarlett's birthday card and gift, a card to Rita, and birthday cards to Dawn and Lois. Their gifts came today and James will be going down on Friday and will take them their gifts.

James told the postal worker that we had a package we did not receive and showed him the tracking number. He said it was not there and we did receive it. This upset me a little but I decided we should go home and look before I got too upset. James looked in the trash in the garage and found an unopened Amazon box he took out to burn. There was the unicorn I ordered for Charlie. I thought it was going to be Beanie Baby size but it is quite a bit larger. I think I am going to keep it here and give it to her when they come out for Thanksgiving.

It was a beautiful day today here in Vernon with the high around 75. No wind and plenty of sunshine.

I worked on my book shipment this morning but it's still not ready to mail. It will be before the week is out. This afternoon I paid personal bills and Lambson Construction bills. Why is it that money is so hard to come by and it goes so quickly?

I started a new Sarah Eden audio book called "The Gents: Book One, Forget Me Not."

James had two elk answer this evening. So I guess you could say his day was a success.

end of the planter to keep her from getting

Luna's new friend, the MacArthur's pig.
I got a text from my friend Chelsea today saying Luna
was at their house eating hay and grain. She said she was
so friendly and they were fine with her being there.
When James went over to get Luna he took this picture. It
looks like the pig is giving Luna a kiss.

"Go Forward in Faith"
President Russell M. Nelson
Dear brothers and sisters, I express my love for you. During this time of tension and uncertainty, and invoking the authority vested in me, I would like to confer upon you an apostolic blessing.
I bless you with peace and increasing faith in the Lord.
I bless you with a desire to repent and become a little more like Him each day.
I bless you to know that the Prophet Joseph Smith is the prophet of the Restoration of the gospel of Jesus Christ in its fulness.
Should there be illness among you or your loved ones, I leave a blessing of healing, consistent with the will of the LOrd.
I so bless you, adding once more my expression of love for each of you, in the sacred name of Jesus Christ, amen.

A Bicentennial Proclamation To The World
Paragraph 1 Sentence 2
God the Father has given us the divine birth, the incomparable life, and the atoning sacrifice of His Beloved Son, Jesus Christ.

I still have a sore throat and exhaustion so I stayed home from the first sacrament meeting we have had since March 8th. James went early to usher. Afterwards he went to the Peeler's for "Come Follow Me." He said the sacrament meeting was awesome. Both Bishop Hunsaker and President Beeler spoke. He said there were 150 attending and they went into the overflow because of the every other row rule. Back at home I slept, and studied the gospel. I felt a little better by afternoon.

This afternoon I worked on my blog, checked out my list on Family Search, and did some indexing. James also did some indexing. I think he wants to catch up with me. I've indexed around 2,000 records and he is around 1,500.

We FaceTimed with Jared, Kacey, and Charlie. The first thing Charlie asked when her face came on the screen was "Where's Luna and where's the other gramma. She calls James the "other gramma."
James took my phone out to see Luna and Charlie was happy.

We had our Zoom Lambson Study Group meeting at 6 p.m. Sheri wasn't there because she was at Ian's parents house. I'm not sure why Stacy didn't join but it was just Jared, Kacey, Kim, Brian, James and I. Before we started discussing the last session of April conference Kim gave us an update on her health condition. She had an MRI last Monday. I had already texted her on Friday so James and I knew,  but Jared asked.

Kim has acute sinus disease. She has it on both sides but it is way worse on the left with 50% blockage. Some has calcified. She may need surgery but wants us to pray that she won't have to have surgery. She told the doctor that she felt like she had had a sinus infection for a month and a half. She said that it had been much much longer than that. She is seeing an ENT on Monday.

These are the talks we discussed:
"The Great Plan"
President Dallin H. Oaks

"The Blessing of Continuing Revelation to Prophets and Personal Revelation to Guide Our Lives"
Elder Quentin L. Cook

"Finding Refuge from the Storms of Life"
Elder Ricardo P. Gimenez

"Come and Belong"
Elder Dieter F. Uchtdorf

"The Finest Homes"
Elder L. Whitney Clayton

"Sharing the Message of the Restoration and the Resurrection"
Elder D. Todd Christofferson

"Go Forward in Faith"
President Russell M. Nelson

The crowd favorite seemed to be Brother Gimenez's. One of my favorite quotes was from Elder Clayton's talk:
The finest homes are refuges from the storms of life. The Lord has promised that those who keep the commandments of God "prosper in the land." God's prosperity is the power to press forward despite the problems of life.

The last thing we did was read President Nelson's apostolic blessing. It is recorded above under his talk, "Go Forward in Faith."

This evening I blogged while James indexed before going to bed.

While James was gone to meetings I looked outside and saw
Luna in the backyard. I bribed her out with some feed.
When James got home he discovered how she got in.

She steps on the front porch, walks over into the
planter and jumps down. He put a string across so
she wouldn't do it anymore. If there is a string or wire
on the ground she will not walk over it. James tied
this one to the post and the fence.
