I know that this is the true Church of Jesus Christ, who is our Savior and has delegated the keys of the priesthood to His Apostles, who use it to guide us, especially in these challenging days, and to prepare the world for His return. I know that Joseph Smith was the prophet of the Restoration and that President Nelson is our living prophet today. I invite all of us to study the lives of these great priesthood holders and seek to improve ourselves daily so we can be ready to meet our Maker. In the name of Jesus Christ, amen.

Inklings

James got a call from Armando this morning. The inspection failed again. This is the third time. The things that didn't pass were things that were not on the list the inspector have given them. Also he is making them change the depth of the connection even though they are connecting into an existing pipe that they already approved of. It is so unfair but the inspector knows he has the upper hand and they must comply.

I got a call from my friend Debbie who works with us in the temple and is also a friend from Chandler. James is also friends with her husband Jimmy. She asked if we would be willing to put a Trump sign in our yard. I told her we were off the beaten path but if she would give me five or six signs I could distribute them throughout Vernon. She said Jimmy would bring them out tomorrow and she would call and let me know when. I said we could meet at the church and she agreed that would be the best place.

The Trezise's adventure continues today as they go to The Grand Tetons. I think James is wishing he could have gone.

Grand Tetons

The Grand Tetons today and Yellowstone tomorrow.

James worked inside most of the morning. This afternoon he took the ping pong table apart and took it to the dump along with the rest of the trash. He also picked up the mail. Darrel and Trina sent James and I our mother's day and father's day gifts and my birthday gift today. We got a card for Cheesecake Factory, one for Olive Garden and a $50 Amazon card. Thank you Darrel and Trina.

My life is pretty predictable on days like today. I blogged, repriced books and bought 3 books, walked, vacuumed, rested, listened to conference talks, and my Audible book, Key Lime Pie.

It was a little windy here today and the high was in the 60's. It feels like fall is coming and I love it. Last week it was 94.

James is at the dining room table working on taxes and I'm in the bedroom blogging. Soon it will be time to go to bed and then it will start all over again tomorrow.

As I think about the day and the hand of the Lord in my life I realize His hand is everywhere. The fact that I live in Vernon and I have the gospel in my life and a wonderful husband and family. I really do have a blessed life and I am so grateful.

So far I have walked 13, 063 steps today. It is 9 p.m. and I am just about done.

Through the priesthood, we can be lifted. The priesthood brings light into our world. Elder Robert D. Hales said:"Without the power of the priesthood, 'the whole earth would be utterly wasted'(DC2:1-3). There would be no light, no hope - only darkness."

James left for the valley around 5 this morning. He is taking my new car, Nisa. He is going down to make sure that everything is ready for tomorrow's inspection on the electrical line. This will be the third inspection as they keep finding something else that needs to be done.

Stacy, Paul, Joshua, Shipley, and Vader left for home around 7 a.m.
We went outside to take a picture and it is windy and smells like rain. My phone says there is an 80% chance of rain this afternoon and evening. I hope so!

Dad and I had a great time.
I hope they did too!

I am home alone. I was working at the computer in the bedroom when I heard a knock at the door. It was Anthony. He was looking for James and I had to tell him he was gone. First of all he said he lost his phone and could not get a hold of Tom who owed him some money. He then said he was out of gas, and needed some money. I offered to loan him some money until he gets his money from Tom. He liked the idea so I gave him some money and told him when he gets his phone to let us know what his new number is.

I told James that Anthony came by and I loaned him some money. He said Tom had left him money and wanted him to feed his horses but he couldn't reach him. I told James that Anthony's phone was broke and he went to get a burner phone and would let us know what his new number was.

HAVE I SEEN THE HAND OF GOD IN MY LIFE OR MY FAMILY'S LIFE TODAY?

This was the question in President Eyring's talk, "Remember, Remember." I saw the hand of the Lord today when he brought James home safely from the valley in the middle of a rain and hailstorm. This rain storm was another indication of the hand of the Lord in our lives. Having Luna come home after being gone was a sign to me that the Lord loves us and cares about the things we care about. I could go on and on but will try to share things on a daily basis instead of all at once.

Sheri, Ian, Alex, Max, and Evan made it safely to Sugar City, Idaho to pick up Ben and bring him home. What a reunion that must have been.

Someone forgot to tell Evan to smile

Darrel called me today and asked if I could be at their house next Wednesday, the 16th. I was planning on coming on the 17th to watch the kids while he and Trina go with friends to Lake Powell.

I forgot to mention on Sunday that both Kacey and Jared have new church callings. Kacey is a counselor in the Primary. Kim is the Primary president in her ward and Sheri is a counselor in the Primary in her ward. Jared was just called as the counselor in the Elder's Quorum Presidency over Family History. This is the same calling that James has. Jared would do well in either Family History or missionary work as he has experience in both areas. Congratulations on your new callings Kacey and Jared!

Kathy Crane came to the door this afternoon. She came over on her ATV to tell me that Luna was over on their property. She said she would help me get her back. I went to get some feed and hoped on the Razr. By the time I got there Anya, Kathy's dog had chased Luna back over to our property. She went to the back and I put some oats in her corral for her and locked the door. Just for awhile. Just before it started to rain later I let her out.

I watched one episode of "Call the Midwife" and made rice krispy treats this afternoon. The rice krispy treats were so good and I think I ate too many because I got a tummy ache.

Today I also bought three books, repriced a page of books, blogged for yesterday, and walked over 10,000 steps.

James texted me and said he would be coming home tonight. Originally he had planned on staying until tomorrow. He came the Globe way and did not stop at Burger House. Why does he keep doing this? He said he got into a bad hail storm and hopes it didn't dent Nisa. (He actually said the car. I haven't told him her name yet).
He did bring a couple of watermelons home so I can't get too upset with him. I read to James while he walked and then we went to bed before 9:30. We finished our last Aunt Dimity book. I told James it would be up to him as to what we read next.
