Brian sent a message out this morning about Kim:
Sorry guys. It was a long night and I didn't want to text when we got home. The CT was normal. No blockage of blood flow. She started physical therapy for her straight neck/spine and that obviously triggered something. Thank you all for your prayers. We love you.

Today I went to the valley for my infusion. I took Barbara's car, CR-V. I left at 6 a.m. and missed the stop for the paving project. James left at 6:30 and he had to stop. It became aware to me that I was extremely tired. I finally had to stop at the Clay Springs chapel to take a quick nap. I made it to Payson and stopped at McDonald's for a diet Coke.

I had to make another stop before driving in to Mesa. I actually closed my eyes a couple of times while I was driving and almost drove off the road. One thing that was helping to keep me awake was a CD Barbara had in her car by Hank Smith. It was about the parables of Jesus and it was very interesting.

I wanted to make it to the AARA before 10 because my x-ray is scheduled for 10. I got a call before I got to Mesa saying that I would need to re-schedule my x-ray because the technician's car broke down. I arrived early and consequently I got started on my infusion early. I tried to sleep while being "infused" but it just didn't happen. The TV was on and the room was filled with people. Too much was going on. I was finished before 11:30. I rescheduled my x-ray for next month before my infusion. Frances, Ange, and Tiffany were the nurses in the infusion center.

I called James to see if he was ready to go to lunch. He was in a meeting so I told him I would go to Sheri's and pick up my books and his check that she has. When I arrived and rang the doorbell of course the dogs started barking. When Max opened the door and Ziggie saw it was me she calmed down. Ollie was still yipping a little. He looked so funny because they shaved all of his hair off for summer. Max helped me take my books to the car. I gave him a hug and told him I loved him. I never even got to see Evan. I wanted to thank him for calling me a young lady when he signed my birthday card.

James and I are going to meet at the Olive Garden on Gilbert Rd. and the 202 south. It's a ways for him to come so I had some time to get some gas at the QT on south Gilbert Rd. When I arrived at Olive Garden I was seated in the bar area, to the right of the door as you come in. I ordered for James and I and the salad came just before he got there. He had the chicken margerita and a huge amount of broccoli while I had the asiago tortellini. The lunch portions are quite small. Of course we also had salad and breadsticks. I ordered a piece of cheesecake with strawberry sauce for us to share. It is my favorite cheesecake, better than anything Cheesecake Factory has. James grumbled a little about the cheesecake but he ate his fair share. We paid with his gift card that Kim and Brian gave him for Father's Day and still have a $16 balance.

James and I said our goodbyes and I got in Barbara's car and head for McDonald's for a drink before getting on the freeway and heading for home. James had another meeting back in Mesa and then he was going to head for home. He brought the Cat down for Armando to do some digging and then realized Armando was too busy so he hired someone else who has his own equipment. He could have come with me and left the Cat at home.

Again, I almost ran off the road. I think Heavenly Father was looking after me. When I got to Payson I stopped at McDonald's and took a 15 minute nap in the car. I got an ice cream cone and left Payson.

The drive up the rim is so pretty. As I was coming in to Heber one of the electronic signs said that the 60 West outside of Show Low was closed because of a fire. I called and told James because he is going that way. He was already in Miami and didn't want to turn back. He was going to take his chances.

I got a call when he reached the other side of Globe telling me he was stopped and would be turning back to go on the road to Roosevelt Lake to cut over to highway 260 in to Payson. I got home around 5:30 and he won't be home until after 8. So much for going the short way.

As soon as I got home I fed Luna and then took some photos of the sky near Springerville-Eagar where a storm is coming in. It started raining before James got home and was still raining when he got here. It smelled so good outside.

I watched a movie on the Up channel called "Happily Ever After." It was cute and I really enjoyed it. I walked while watching. James watched the documentary on the book of Genesis and creation that he started on Sunday. He finished it and really liked it. So did I.

We went to bed around 10:30.

"Hear Him"
President Russell M. Nelson
The very first word in the Doctrine and Covenants is hearken. It means "to listen with the intent to obey." To hearken means to "hear Him - to hear what the Savior says and then to heed His counsel. In those two words - "Hear Him" - God gives us the pattern for success, happiness, and joy in this life. We are to hear the words of the Lord, hearken to them, and heed what He has told us!

Inklings

Another beautiful Monday morning here in Vernon, Arizona.
James is taking Tom Howard's truck to the valley tomorrow. He is hauling down the Cat to do some work at the houses in Mesa that he is building. His truck is missing a tail light (I wonder what will fall off next). He has ordered a new one but it hasn't been delivered yet. After picking up the truck he was going in to town to pick up hay for Tom and then going over to Lakeside to look at a road that someone wants him to fix like he fixed ours. He asked me to go with him. Since I told him I was not going with him tomorrow to the valley, I decided it would be nice if I did this with him. When we got to the Howard's Tom came outside to give us the keys to the truck. He looked at me and said, "wait a minute, I have something for you." He went in side and came back out with four mini Bit-O-Honey candies. I told him thank you and asked where Jean was. He said she was inside watching Fox News. I should have gone in and gave her a hug, but I didn't. I regretted not doing that afterwards.

We headed down the hill and into town. As we were picking up the hay at the edge of town I made the comment that I thought it looked like rain over by Lakeside. For some reason James wanted to pick up the hay first. I think it was because Tom had told them we were on our way. Anyway with a load of hay in the back of the truck, we headed towards Lakeside. We got as far as the Walmart area and it started to rain. We stopped at Firehouse Subs to get lunch and it was raining so hard we decided to go back home instead of going on to Lakeside because we didn't want to get the hay any wetter. So the one thing we set out to do was the one thing we didn't do.

James helped Tom unload the hay and I drove the truck to our house. James took Barbara's car, (I call her Curvy, CR-V) to get gas. He had to go clear to Maverick because the gas was so high at Stanford. I asked if he checked under the hood and he said he couldn't figure out how to get the hood up.

I got a birthday card from Kim today and a $50 Amazon gift card. So sweet of her, thank you Kim.

We got a text from Brian around 9 this evening asking for prayers for Kim. She is in the ER and feels like she is going to pass out. Her neck and head are numb and she has pulsating behind her eye. We all said we would pray for her. Later Brian said they were doing a CT Scan to make sure the artery is okay. We all went to bed praying for Kim, Kacey and Jared were probably already in bed, and didn't hear back from Brian during the night.

Love this!

This was a mesmerizing video to watch as these kids each
bounced two balls and then passed them to each other.
They never missed.

Sorry, I messed up, hope you can figure it out!
